Treyarch is teasing Black Ops 4's Zombies

And we're already terrified.

Treyarch is back in the Call of Duty hot seat this year with the studio preparing to release Black Ops 4 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 12, and as per usual this year's entry is going to come complete with a Zombies side-story for co-op fans to indulge in.

However, this year's Zombies campaign looks like it might be a bit different to what we've seen in recent times. Typically these episodic campaigns often feature tongue-in-cheek enemy, world and character design, and they also tend to throw in the odd dash of slapstick humour too. That doesn't seem to be the case this time around though, and the mask below hints at something altogether more sinister.

While we haven't got a huge amount to tell you about what the studio has in store for players this year beyond the image attached below, the accompanying text is still worth highlighting: "Mankind's reckoning will be its salvation."

Consider us intrigued/terrified.
