If you've been following Fortnite (or memes for that matter) closely for the last few months, the name Orange Shirt Kid may seem familiar, as during last month's Epic BoogieDown contest - which tasked fans with submitting their own dances with the chance of becoming an in-game emote - this video emerged of one young man's entry that caught the internet by storm. Now there's good news, as this has officially become an emote in the game.
Well, there's more to the story, as he actually lost the contest, but his community attention got him far enough, as did the Change.org petition featuring over 11,000 enthusiastic signatures. The Fortnite Battle Pass for the newly arrived Season 4 in fact contains the emote, and was a total surprise, even for the kid in question, who took to Twitter to share his surprise.
