Rare has just released patch notes for the 1.06 update for Sea of Thieves, which brings with it a few new skins (don't get too excited), a wicked new sniper rifle (that's available for 1 piece of gold for two weeks as the studio marks the game's one month anniversary), and some quality of life gameplay tweaks.
The most notable improvement to the game is a nerf to the uncanny aim of skeleton-manned canons found on outposts, but moving the bell out of the way of the ladder on the sloop is also a nice change. Best of all, it's going to take less time getting back from the Ferry of the Damned after you've died, which is great news seeing as how that's usually the last place you want to be when you're actually visiting there!
