Sony Santa Monica launched PS4-exclusive God of War on April 20 (and we thought it was a bit good), just a few days before the latest release based in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War (which we also thought was a bit good). Given the close proximity of the launches, the God of War devs spied an opportunity for a cool Easter egg and grabbed it with both hands.

As revealed over on Reddit there is an awesome Easter egg for fans of both series in the form of a special Talisman called "the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages", which when fully upgraded and equipped with (three of the six) cleverly themed enchantments lets Kratos fire purple energy at his enemies, just like Thanos does with the Infinity Gauntlet in the movie (you can see it in action here).

The enchantments are listed below along with their Marvel counterparts, and you can see the link between the two sets hidden in plain sight in the names.

Andvari's Soul - Soul Stone
Njord's Temporal Stone - Time Stone
Eye of the Outer Realm - Space Stone
Ivaldi's Corrupted Mind - Mind Stone
Asgard's Shard of Existence - Reality Stone
Muspelheim Eye of Power - Power Stone

If you're playing God of War but haven't yet found the items needed to unlock this clever little nod to the Marvel series, perhaps following some of the advice in our handy guide will speed things up for you.
