Telltale Games are currently working on about five billion different projects (or well, six - Back to the Future, Jurrasic Park, The Walking Dead, Fables, King's Quest and Puzzle Agent - that we know about at this point). But they also wanted to do an adventure game of Scott Pilgrim once upon a time.
It's the creator of Scott Pilgrim, Bryan Lee O'Malley, that has twittered about it, saying that he said no since he couldn't see the license work as an adventure game. And thus it ended up with Ubisoft instead and the rest is downloadable arcade fighting history.
