Yesterday we found out via Twitter that Xbox senior marketing director Albert Penello would be leaving Microsoft after a lengthy stay with the company, and here's what Penello had to say himself about the move:
"Well today is a crazy day. I've made the decision after 18 years to leave Microsoft. To say it's been a "once in a lifetime" experience is an understatement. The team at #Xbox has meant so much to me and I'll be cheering them on - there is so much great stuff still to come."
The news of his departure received a large number of responses, encouragement, and thanks from the community given his seniority. Indeed, as he says in his tweet, Albert Penello has been working for Microsoft for 18 years which means that he has been part of the American company since the beginning of the Xbox adventure.
We don't know about his future projects, but we wish him the best of luck in the future. Are you sad to see him go?
