Ben Brode, who has served as game director of Hearthstone, is leaving Blizzard Entertainment. Brode, known for his work on the digital card game and his contagious laughter, has worked at the company for 15 years and is going to help to set up a new studio. "We'll probably make games, but we haven't figured anything else out, yet", states Brode. "I'm looking forward to designing, programming, and actually creating things again."

In 2003 Brode worked as a pizza delivery man, who delivered pizza at the offices of Blizzard, where he got a night job as a game tester for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. From there he worked his way up and eventually became lead designer for Hearthstone.

"To the passionate community of players - I will miss you, and the laughs we shared together. Thank you for making being a part of Hearthstone so much fun for me. I've loved every minute", Brode writes.
