Microsoft first introduced new Xbox Live Avatars at E3 last year, claiming we could reinvent our virtual selves later that year, but almost one year later we still don't have an update on that front. However, we've recently got a hint of what's to come via ResetEra user Gowans, who shared a glimpse of how these new Avatars look and how you can edit them.
Although the original video attached to the post has been deleted, you can see snippets of it in other places like Twitter, which shows a dramatic difference between last year's models and the ones seen here. The basic editor lets you customise body, face, hair, facial hair, makeup, limbs, and fingernails, not to mention clothes and accessories, even catering to those with disabilities too.
We don't know how close this version is to the Avatar editor we'll get in the future, but for now it looks like a big change from the old style. Do you like what you see?
