30 laid off at Activision

Fewer licensed games in future.

Activision have announced that they are laying off 30 people following their record breaking financial report - and among those affected are Treyarch (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2). Activision went on to state that this would in no way affect the upcoming DLC releases for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

One of the reasons for the cutbacks is that Activision plan on releasing fewer licensed games - and following a rough year for licensed Activision titles (007 Legends, Wipeout 3, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse, The Amazing Spider-Man, and so on) it can hardly come as a surprise.

You'll see less of games like Wipeout 3 from Activision in the future.
