Fans of the original Mirror's Edge have been hoping for a sequel, and there have been tons of rumours about it. According to the Swedish website Press2Play (beware, some Google Translate gibberish behind that link), EA's Patrick Soderlund told them in an interview that a prototype of Mirror's Edge 2 has been showed behind closed EA doors and that the project is currently on hold - the people involved with the project are now working on other things.
When asked about it, EA told VG247 that they couldn't "comment on speculation."
We know from previous comments made by EA CEO John Riccitiello that he believes that Mirror's Edge does deserve a sequel, so it's still not impossible that one day Mirror's Edge 2 will see the light of day. But it is not this day.
