Valve deletes Steam Machines page from marketplace

It seems Valve has taken their hand off the project.

Do you remember Steam Machines? Once described as Valve's answer to consoles. We used to talk a lot about them in the past, but it seems that this project is taking a permanent vacation. Although the company believed a lot in that project in its early stages, it seems that Valve has decided to abandon or, at least, to put their focus on Steam Machines on standby. The company has, in fact, removed in the past the link that leads to the page dedicated to these products from Steam's homepage. You can still reach the old Steam Machine page, but not through the front page. We assume that Valve has decided to remove this project from their marketplace because it never really caught players' interest.

The fact that Valve has decided to remove the link to these products from its marketplace - where products like Steam Link, Steam Controller, HTC Vive and other accessories persist - seems to be a clue that the company has decided to focus their attention on something else.

Thanks, PC Gamer.
