Ubisoft RedLynx recently launched a patch called "Big Feature Update" for their free-to-play arena battler South Park: Phone Destroyer for Android and iOS. The new patch was meant to usher in some much-requested features like friendly matches and team objectives, but what players have gotten thus far is a lot of glitches and bugs that have made the game completely unbalanced.
Apart from issues like cards not being played, units freezing and/or not taking damage, interface issues, and such the most severe issue is that all speed effects seem to have been doubled. For example, instead of Astronaut Butters death wish granting the closest ally double speed for a few seconds, it now quadruples the speed. Hyper Drive, the card that should double the speed of all your units for 6 seconds (or more if upgraded) has the same problem. Since all the speed altering cards are sci-fi themed, this update has meant that players who have focused on a deck that doesn't contain sci-fi cards struggle and lose rank.
Ubisoft RedLynx is working on solving the issues and cancelled a recent developer stream to focus on the issues at hand, but what was meant to be something that really elevated the game has now turned into a bit of a disaster.
