Recently, we got the chance to explore Far Cry 5 for a few hours, before it finally releases this month. While we did have a good time, we didn't encounter the game's microtransactions, which have now been revealed publicly.

During the same preview event, PC Gamer noted that the game will contain a premium currency called "Silver Bars", which is both located scattered around the game world, as well as available for purchase. These are used to in turn to buy "prestige weapons, vehicles, clothes and skins", meaning that they are not just cosmetic, but also affect gameplay.

While no loot boxes seem to be involved, the price of Silver Bars is currently unknown. Below you can find a screenshot taken by PCGamer to prove the existence of the premium currency and its use.

Is this something that bothers you or are you fine with some people paying a little extra to potentially be more powerful in a singleplayer game like this?
