At various occasions Capcom has made clear, that they, for the moment, have no interest in bringing Monster Hunter: World to the Nintendo Switch. However, if they were willing to surrender control, another known studio would like to pick up the mantle - Iron Galaxy Studios.

Recently, as a response to statements about a Switch port not happening, Iron Galaxy CEO Adam Boyes asked for a chance to bring the game to Switch through Twitter:

"Dear @monsterhunter team at Capcom - we understand that porting the game to Nintendo Switch is challenging (https://kotaku.com/bringing-monster-hunter-world-to-nintendo-switch-is-d-1822988009 ...) but this is exactly what @IToTheG does. Give us a shot & we won't let you down ;)"

Iron Galaxy Studios does have extensive knowledge of porting, and recently put The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Switch.
