It's time for important acquisitions for Ubisoft lately. In the last 24 hours, in fact, the French company has announced two studios that become part of the great Ubisoft family and they are, specifically, 1492 Studio and Blue Mammoth Games.

1492 Studio - creator of the popular mobile sim game Is it Love? - is a development studio specialising in the creation of interactive free-to-play episodes for mobile devices, based near Montpellier. This acquisition seems to suggest that, most likely, the French company is doubling down on the mobile market. At the moment, apart from the announcement of their acquisition, the two companies have not revealed what the next future projects will be, but it is very likely that we will know something more soon.

As for Blue Mammoth Games, this is a development studio based near Atlanta, Georgia, and creator of the popular free-to-play brawler Brawlhalla, which is currently among the more played free-to-play games on PS4 (also available on PC). Given Brawlhalla's efforts on the esports scene, a third season was just announced alongside a partnership with Dreamhack for the Brawlhalla World Championship, it certainly seems as if Ubisoft wants to continue to invest in this area as well.
