The backlash Ubisoft are suffering following the decision to push back the release of Rayman Legends on Wii U in order to have it release alongside PS3 and Xbox 360 versions in September is gaining momentum.
A Rayman fan from France, Joffrey Babilotte, stopped by the Ubisoft Montpellier studios and had some of the developers pose in front of a sign that says "Release Rayman - support Ubi Montpellier" (in French) - and we would go on to post this on the Ubisoft Facebook page where fans and players have made their voices heard about the impopular decision. You can see the images on here and here - there is nothing to suggest the images are fakes, but we don't have any official word from the developer either.
At this point Ubisoft have tried to alleviate some of the negative sentiments by promising a second playable demo on Wii U prior to release, but that has only further enraged fans who were looking forward to the biggest release of the quarter on Wii U.
Expect the #FreeRayman campaign to keep on rolling, and perhaps the movement will bend the will of "the men in ties" in charge at Ubisoft.
