Once upon a time, probably during the Stone Age, the Playstation 2 was released. Many, many years - and a whole console generation - later, the machine is still selling. According to Sony, the sales of the Playstation 2 are as good now as they were one year ago - some periods it even sold better than the PSP (insert cheeky comment about the PSP-sales in general here if you feel like it).
Sony counts on the PS2 to have sold six million units during this financial year, which is over in about 3 months. Not that far from the Playstation 3, which they believe will have sold 15 million. In total, the PS2 has sold in more than 150 million units. Not bad for a machine that has been around since the dawn of time.
