And almost half have played one while too young.

More than a quarter (27%) of all applicable Brits surveyed in a recent YouGov poll have admitted to buying an 18-rated video game while underage, with almost half (47%) of those asked confirming that they've played 18-rated games while underage.

Those numbers pertain specifically to people who were under the age of 18 when the current age rating system was introduced, and if you factor in all so-called millennials (that's people aged 18-34) then the figures jump somewhat, with one-third (35%) of people saying that they bought an 18-rated game while under the age of 18, with two-thirds (65%) playing one at a friend's house.

The numbers are fairly similar when it comes to buying cigarettes and getting drunk, although 8 out of 10 people have watched an 18-rated movie at home or at a friend's house while underage.

Did you buy or play 18-rated games before you were legally old enough? And if so, what was the first game you played?

No doubt there's quite a few people who have played GTA V when technically they shouldn't have.
