Nintendo will finally allow players to spend their Gold Points on actual games starting in early March, as revealed by a recent press release, which also mentions that this update to My Nintendo allows you to buy these games directly from the eShop, either via the console itself or the official website.

What's more is that if you don't have enough Gold Points for a full purchase, you can complete it with "any other payment method available in the Nintendo Shop", so that'll be good if you really want to redeem them but can't find the game that you can afford with all your coins.

As a reminder, consumers receive Gold Points when they purchase something on the eShop, and they're valid for redemption during a full year. For example, any Gold Points you earned in March 2017 will remain valid until the end of March 2018, and more details on this trading system will be revealed soon.

Do you think this is a good idea from Nintendo?
