Google might be near from taking its first step into the video game industry (outside of mobile that is). According to The Information, Google is working on it's own streaming service for video games, with a subscription-based structure. There's not much to go on yet, but as The Information calls it, "people with knowledge of the project" claim the service is codenamed Yeti.

With no real additional information, the site speculates the service could be presented in two ways - via Google's Chromecast streaming platform, or with a Google exclusive console/device. This report comes only a month after Phil Harrison, former PlayStation and Xbox executive, took on the role of Vice president and General Manager at Google, a move that could be related to this streaming service.
