The launch of Monster Hunter: World has gone smoothly, on the whole, but it seems that few players have come across a mysterious and rare glitch, which has put a significant damper on their experience. It would seem that as a result of this issue, some players (very few at the moment) don't have the ability to access online functionality, such as creating or joining a team, and of course completing online quests, as these options are not available.
While Capcom is investigating a solution to this annoying glitch, a user has shared a temporary solution to this issue: He solved it by creating a new hunter and play until the weapons selection in Astera where he loaded the first save file and was able to use the online features. According to what we read in the thread, however, it seems that this solution hasn't worked for others, who are still waiting for a solution by Capcom.
