Randy Pitchford isn't joking... or is he?

Among the news that you probably missed this weekend, there's also the start of pre-orders to new flamethrower (!) by Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla, with the brand The Boring Company. Announced as early as last December, what seemed like a joke became a reality and now the pre-orders for this unusual gadget are officially open, for a rather neat sum of $500 (you can also buy a fire extinguisher, just in case).

But what does Elon Musk's new flamethrower have to do with video games? Well, with the pre-orders, Randy Pitchfork, founder of Gearbox, has contacted Mush himself on Twitter, asking him the permission to insert this crazy weapon in the new, now long rumoured, Borderlands 3. Of course, Musk accepted immediately and, although the whole affair seems like an early April Fool's joke, crazier things have been known to happen...

Thanks, GameSpot.
