The Kickstarted Android based games console Ouya is now set for release in June, at least in North America, where Amazon, Best Buy, Target and GameStop have been selected as retail partners. The console was initially expected to release in April, but on Kickstarter, as well as the official Ouya shop, the console is now listed for a launch in June. Backers will still get their consoles prior to the street date, but no firm word is available as to when this will happen.
The console will retail for $99.99 in the US as previously stated, and an extra controller will set you back $49.99. Remains to be seen what the European launch plans are.
