It has been speculated that as many as 100 HMV stores are set to to be closed down by administrators Deloitte in the coming months.
A source allegedly close to the struggling retailer revealed to The Telegraph that Deloitte are planning on entering the "next stage of restructuring" as they look to rescue the High Street mainstay, with between 60 and 100 stores set to be affected.
It is feared - if these figures are accurate - that as many 1,500 employees will lose their jobs, although it is suggested in the report that the stores won't merely be closed down, but rather they'll allow the shops to clear stock before shutting their doors to the public. The locations of the stores set to closed down has yet to be revealed.
