Gamestick gets funded

Kickstarter campaign smashes target.

The recent Kickstarter project for Gamestick, a portable television console, has closed today, with the machine able to attract nearly $648k in investment from the crowd-funding community.

The handheld console, which will operate on an Android flavoured operating system, is set to retail at just $79 USD (that's a smidgen over £50). They appeal was originally to raise $100k in funds, but the idea of an affordable console has obviously resonated strongly with gamers, and they comfortably reached their goal.
