According to Dutch website PS3-Sense, Sony plan to introduce serial numbers to the games for the Playstation 3 in the future. The code, which will be matched between the blu-ray disc and reader, is supposed to be good for five installs - all to battle the latest wave of hacks that the Playstation 3 has seen.
It would, of course, also be a big blow to the second hand market. Brittish magazine Edge has asked Sony for a comment, but at the time of writing they don't seem to have recieved a reply.
Is it true, then? Well, until we hear anything from Sony, I think you're better off filing this one under rumours. For now.
