Rumours have been doing the rounds about an upcoming Nintendo Direct broadcast for almost two months now, so much so that the broadcast has taken on an almost legendary status. Nintendo themselves, however, has yet to formally announce that it is indeed happening. It's been rumoured for today, but still, there's no official word.
Industry insider and observer, Nibel, noted on Twitter, that GameStop's official Twitter account posted about the Direct yesterday, only to instantly delete the message moments after. The announcement said that the Direct was in 45 minutes, so maybe they just pushed the message out one day too early?
We're still hopeful that Nintendo could spring a surprise Direct to us without notice, but time is starting to run out...
