Nintendo's classic handheld device Game Boy is making a comeback thanks to Hyperkin, as reported by Gizmodo.
Peripherals manufacturer Hyperkin is doing their own remake of Game Boy, and it's temporarily called Ultra Game Boy hoping to improve on Nintendo's original design in many ways.
The case of the console is made out of aluminium, and it features a new backlit LCD display (ca be turned off when not needed). Other new features include a built-in 6-hour battery, a USB-C port for charging and a pair of stereo speakers. What this device doesn't have is built-in games, but it is compatible with all Game Boy games (possibly even Game Boy Color).
This new Game Boy is supposed to be ready for late summer this year, the aim is to deliver it below the $100 level.
