Speaking to MCV, Capcom Interactive President Midori Yuasa said that her company is focusing a lot more on smartphones this year, saying that "the casual gamer that used to play on the PC
and the hardcore gamer that used to play on a dedicated gaming portable now plays on their smartphone." According to the company, more and more players are abandoning the usual handheld consoles for gaming on their phones instead and Yuasa also believes that "smartphones have the potential to become a universal game platform."
Capcom is supposed to have a lot of stuff for mobiles on the way, but that doesn't mean that they are abandoning the more "traditional" machines - as we saw with the announcement of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition for the Nintendo 3DS.
