Microsoft got its fair share of criticism last year for the lack of exclusive games for Xbox One, and it seems like they got the message loud and clear. Judging from several rumours lately, the company are working hard to expand their portfolio of games for the console, and according to Thexvlog on Twitter, one of the companies working on this is Electric Square, who are allegedly bringing "life to a new game based on a globally recognized property from Microsoft Game Studios".
The plot thickens somewhat when you take into consideration the fact that Electric Square changed their name last year from Studio Gobo Brighton. Last year they announced a collaboration with Microsoft and was looking for co-workers for a "toys-to-life game based on a major franchise," and this does indeed sound a whole lot like the same game Electric Square is working on.
Whether it's something based on Halo or some of Rare's many franchises remains to be seen, but at least it looks like we can look forward to more games for Xbox One than we got last year. What do you want to see from this project?
