Here is some interesting information that may well change the way fans view the events of certain games in the Final Fantasy saga. In a recent interview, Yoshinori Kitase, the current producer of the Final Fantasy VII: Remake explained to EDAMAME Arcade Channel (at around the 4.15 mark) that FFVII and FFX actually take place in the same setting, although he quantifies that by saying "a little."

According to Kitase, there are connections between the two episodes. Like a character in FFX who has the same name as the evil company in FFVII, the Shinra, something that isn't a mere coincidence. Are you surprised by this revelation, and are you looking forward to the return of the classic RPG when Final Fantasy VII: Remake heads to PlayStation 4?
