Loot boxes have been a hot topic of debate in recent months, and now Apple has waded into the conversation, as they have updated their review guidelines for the App Store. The important thing to note here is that now developers who are creating games that have microtransactions and loot boxes must reveal the odds of giving certain items to players.

This new rule was reported by analyst Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, and here's exactly how the rule is phrased: "Apps offering "loot boxes" or other mechanisms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose the odds of receiving each type of item to customers prior to purchase."

Do you think this is a good stance to take?
