While Mafia III ultimately didn't hit the quality mark fans had hoped for, and was met with a lukewarm reception, it would seem that developer Hangar 13 is gearing up for something quite big. Recently, the studio acquired Simon Hamelin, programming leader of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Jon Graham, technical director of Raven Software, and now they've recruited another industry talent.

According to a post on Twitter, David Ford and Mark Norris, who previously worked as designer and executive producer respectively on Horizon: Zero Dawn for Guerrilla Games, have joined Hangar 13 on a new mystery project.

David Ford said the following: "Well now that I'm all settled in it's announcement time: As of today I'm no longer at Guerrilla Games and am now working at Hangar 13 as a Design Director. I loved my time in Amsterdam but I'm excited for the new chapter ahead."

We can't wait to find out what the studio is working on, but it's perhaps safe to say that it's open-world. Are these good recruitments by Hangar 13?
