Boba Fett is a standout character in the Star Wars universe, and even though he's a "bad guy" with but a handful of lines, he has an impactful but limited role in the main series. Star War fans have been always asking for more of the bounty hunter, and this could happen if the anthology project finally goes forward. And, according to a report by Omega Underground, this is exactly what is going to happen.

Project Tin Can, the working title for the Boba Fett film back when Josh Trank was at the helm, is back/still in development according to a listing sourced by the site. Details are scarce and the source can't confirm that Tin Can refers to the spinoff starring the bounty hunter, but that's their theory at least (and, on paper, it's a convincing one). They also don't know whether Simon Kinberg and Lawrence Kasdan are still in charge of the script, although the listing seems to suggest that they are. Basically, they don't know much for certain, but the case put forward is convincing albeit unsubstantiated.

Omega Underground also reported that A Star Wars Story spinoff for Obi-Wan Kenobi is probably entering the production stage in January 2019. This one would hit cinemas as soon as 2020, so don't expect to see Boba Fett in the next couple of years.
