Final Fantasy XV is set around the tight friendship of Noctis, Gladio, Ignis and Prompto, but despite being a group of four combat-savvy characters, the player only controls Noctis, whereas the remaining party members have gotten their own, specific story chapters thanks to expansions released over the course of the year. Now though, that's all set to change, as Square Enix is finally introducing character swapping to the game proper.
This was shared by Square Enix in a recent Active Time Report, which also revealed that each character you choose to control will have the same abilities and skill sets as in their respective Epsiodes.
The feature is set to be implemented at some point before the release of Episode Ignis on December 13th.
Furthermore, several new expansions will see release in 2018, where one of them will focus specifically on the villain, Ardyn.
