UK-based developer DEVCUBESTUDIO has announced that they are launching their first VR title, called Far Home, in early access in January of next year, with a view to launch at the end of 2018 for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift headsets.

The studio is comprised of about 50 people and team-based shooter Far Home is described as "a unique science-fiction game that teleports users into the year 2300, where earth is overpopulated and polluted, and humanity are searching for a new home."

"We are extremely proud to announce our game, something that we've been working on since 2015. It was a hard decision to start a VR project, but we are now one step away from being able to share the results of our hard work, and we sincerely hope the gaming world takes an interest in our project," CEO Aleksander Shevchenko said.

You can choose from four classes in the game and can explore five different planets, with destructible environments included in each, as well as a number of "unusual inhabitants" that can either help or disrupt their journey.

You can take a look at screenshots of the game down below. Could this be a hit VR title?
