If you want to get Star Wars Battlefront II's loot crates you can choose to work hard like everyone else, getting credits by playing (until the microtransactions are back), or, like Reddit user Lowberg, you can decide to develop a rudimentary robot that plays in your place.
The robot doesn't play in the true sense, it just jumps and moves a little in order to not kick the player out of the game, but doing just that gets its owner the credits needed to unlock loot crates.
As long as he's farming credits from the arcade mode rather than from online play we doubt many people will object too much to his creative efforts to circumvent EA's progression system.
If building a robot is beyond your capabilities, other players are using a less complicated option, elastic bands, to achieve a similar effect.
Thanks, Kotaku.
