New project from Playground Games isn't a racer

Nor about Forza, but might remind us of Horizon...

A "new AAA open-world action RPG project" is what Playground Games (of Forza Horizon series fame) is developing now, the studio has publicly confirmed as they just secured new office space (two floors worth of 17,000 sq ft, actually) to house 200 employees in Leamington Spa, UK.

However, this doesn't necessarily mean the highly-acclaimed open-world racer is left behind, as the new space will be used for a new, second team, as the studio grows to double the number of employees (to 400+ now). And after all, one of the main highlights of Forza Horizon 2 and 3 was how well-built world was and the variation it offered in terms of gameplay.

Regarding who is joining and leading the new team, GI adds that key talent from projects such as Star Wars Battlefront II, Metal Gear Solid V, GTA V, Rime or Hellblade will be behind this new open world, including game designers Juan Fernández de Simón and Will Kennedy and production director Sean Eyestone.

It's still unknown whether this will be another Xbox + Windows exclusive published by Microsoft or something else.

What would you expect of a new action-RPG by this devs? Leave a comment below.
