Birth of Rome is a new strategy game from Slitherine, focussed on a period of history stretching from the 3rd Samnite War (298 and 291 BC) to the First Punic War (264 to 241 BC).

The game has been developed by Ageod, and focuses on the civil wars the served to unify Rome, with particular attention being paid to military, economy, politics and diplomacy.
