Dead by Daylight sells three millions copies

Scarily good numbers for Behaviour's horror title.

It's time for one of those pat on the back news pieces, where we congratulate Behaviour Interactive and Starbreeze Studios for reaching an impressive sales milestone. Though, considering the game, it should probably be a knife in the back.

Asymmetric multiplayer title Dead by Daylight is a spooky online horror title where a team of players has to escape from one super-powered but slightly slower supernatural killer. We liked it when we reviewed it, but noted at the time that it could do with some extra content. Well, since then, that's something that the game has certainly received.

Since it first released on PC in mid-2016, the title has spread its wings onto console (it's also launching in Asia) and has sold well in the process. With three million copies shifted so far (and counting), and with the recent Nightmare on Elm Street-themed DLC proving that there's still an appetite among players for more horrific content, it seems as though Behaviour's online slash 'em up has a bright future ahead of it.
