Thanks to an interview with Level-5 president Akihiro Hino in Weekly Famitsu, we have learned more about Inazuma Eleven Ares, a title expected to hit next summer.

The man himself has stated the studio's ambition to appeal to appeal to a wider audience by offering the game across multiple platforms, but also by incorporating content for older players. It was also added that the developers are leaning towards a gameplay feel that's closer to that of a more traditional football game, although some traditional elements will be back, such as the ability to recruit your favourite players from defeated schools.

The title will not be released until the launch of the Inazuma Eleven Ares anime, and when it does it will be available on PlayStation 4 and Switch in the summer of 2018. A version is also planned for iOS and Android devices, although that may well differ from the console release.

Thanks, Gematsu.
