There has been a lot of back and forth regarding Raven Software these last few months. After Singularity failed to become a commercial success the studio had to cut back on staff, with the studio refocusing on delivering map packs and DLC. Recently rumours claimed the studio was rehiring and that they were working on a new Bond game.
Now new job ads point towards Raven working on a Call of Duty of their own: "is seeking a lead visual effects artist to drive the development of stunning visual effects for an established console-based, realistic, first-person military shooter". It does sound like Call of Duty, and could they really be looking for visual effects artists to work on simple map packs? Who knows... But it does seem to confirm that Raven Software are part of the future of the Call of Duty franchise in some way.
