Nintendo's Switch console was released earlier this year and has since garnered attention for standout games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey. Now a new report published by Statista (and reported by Wccftech) shows that the Switch is doing even better than the PS4 and Xbox One did last year in the US.

In fact, the Switch has surpassed two million sold units in the US alone, and the chart below shows just how well the Switch has been doing, being beaten in monthly sales only by Microsoft's Xbox One when the Xbox One S was released in August last year.

This is yet more good news for Nintendo, as just last week we also reported that Nintendo consoles made up two-thirds of console sales in the US last month, so they'll be hoping this continues into the holiday season too. Is the Nintendo Switch a better console than the PS4 and Xbox One?
