According to a report, select game studios are receiving development kits for "the next generation of motion control," what we're all currently calling Kinect 2.
It was reported by CVG that Microsoft has already handed out the kits to a number of European studios. Their source, "a games developer familiar with the situation," admits that they haven't seen the kits in person, due to the tight security surrounding the new technology.
The next-gen motion controller is still shrouded in secrecy, and the only information that we have available is what was leaked last year, although the document itself was written some time before that, in 2010. That document revealed: "A new more accurate Kinect sensor with dedicated application and system resources enables a whole new generation of Kinect experiences. Experience full fidelity next generation graphics with a full body high precision sensor," as well as suggesting that it'd support "simultaneous four person play."
