Double XP on Mechwarrior Online

New Spider Mech enters the fight.

The Spider Mech has just landed in the Mechwarrior Online Store, and precedes the upcoming Commando Hero Mech named Death's Knell, which will be available on January 22.

The Spider Mech is light and maneuverable, with eight jet packs making it the fastest and most agile mech to appear in the game so far. You can see some screens below that show off the new machine (the first four are of the Spider Mech, the last two are of Death's Knell).

It's also worth noting that Infinite and Piranha Games have announced the first double XP weekend for the game. It starts this Friday (January 18) and carries on through to Monday.
