A lot of people are wanting Gearbox Software to release a Borderlands 3, and a new job listing from the studio might just be an indication that this fabled third entry is indeed coming.
The listing, as reported by Destructoid, says that the company are looking for a writer for "an unannounced AAA FPS/RPG hybrid with strong characters and central narrative thread." Now doesn't that sound like Borderlands?
The job requirements included writing scripts, dialogue, and in-game texts, an "a love for comedy writing with respect for a serious underlying plot is helpful."
The successful candidate will join the writing team to write, punch up and iterate scripts in-line with established story and plot outlines. Responsibilities will include writing dialogue for voice-over and in-game text for missions, flavor and user interfaces. A love for comedy writing with respect for a serious underlying plot is helpful."
Considering Randy Pitchford not long ago hinted a big workforce is working on Borderlands 3, it seems tempting to say this could also be referring to Borderlands 3, but still we should take it with a pinch of salt.
Are you hoping it's Borderlands 3?
