Microsoft wants to extend PUBG Xbox One exclusivity

It remains to be seen just how long the console exclusivity is.

As we reported last week, Sony is in talks with Bluehole Studios about releasing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for PlayStation 4 as well, sometime after Microsoft's exclusive deal has ended (the game is expected to arrive via the Game Preview program on Xbox One before the year's end). So when is this? It might actually be further away than expected, since Microsoft tries to extend the deal with Bluehole, according to Bloomberg.

The sources claim Bluehole is "likely to give the company a longer period as the solo console". Given the popularity of PUBG this would, of course, be a major win for Microsoft. When Bloomberg reached out to them, the spokesperson said:

"Right now, the team is solely focused on bringing the best game possible to Xbox One and PC. We have nothing further to announce at this time."

Will you play PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on Xbox One or Xbox One X, are you playing on PC already or will you wait for the PS4 version?
