Roccat turned developer to bring their action game Sick City to life, but now the company has announced that they have terminated development of the game, due to "a lukewarm response to the alpha."

Despite a lot of investment and interest, it failed to gather the number of players needed to sustain it, although Roccat does add that there was a "small enthusiastic crowd of players". This lack of players meant the game failed to meet standards and resources have been moved away.

"Roccat sincerely thanks its development team for their hard work, as well as the gamers within the community who engaged with the project so enthusiastically. Refunds will be issued to those who bought a supporter pack, and individual e-mails with personal thanks will be sent out in the coming days. The Sick City servers will run until the end of October," the press release concludes.
