Sonic the Hedgehog will be getting his own film in the future, but it won't be thanks to Sony Pictures, as the project has changed hands and Paramount Pictures are taking over, this according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A lot of the team working on the film remains the same, but Neal H. Moritz is the new producer, and will work on the film alongside Deadpool director Tim Miller, with Tomy Ascher serving as executive producer and Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons as co-producers. It's also important to note that this will be the first film directed by Jeff Fowler.
Sega America's marketing chief Mike Evans said a while ago that the film was coming in 2019, so hopefully, this target doesn't change after the new deal. What do you want to see from a Sonic film?
