The smartwatch business has exploded over the fast few years, and Apple has emerged as a clear market leader proving the consumer interest in this kind of technology. But, no smartwatch has a direct focus on gaming, which is something Microsoft may be looking to change.
Images of a supposed Xbox smartwatch have been obtained by Finnish news site Suomimobiili, which is said to have been under development in 2013, with a planned release in 2015.
Apparently, the 1.5 inch screen would contain information about both your console and your health, as the bottom contains a heart rate monitor. According to the source, it would also be recharged through a magnetic connector in Surface tablets. Obviously the design was scrapped, and in 2014 Microsoft unveiled its first smartwatch, The Band.
